December to March:

Time to put in your Initial Application Form to a club to sponsor you from information found on this website.

March:

Applications to clubs close.

March – April:

You will be interviewed by the club regarding your suitability as an exchange student. If successful the club will forward your application to the District Youth Exchange secretary. A Detailed Application Form is then filled in preparation for the June selection.

June:

Final selection weekend and interview by the District, as well as some preliminary training for exchange, what is expected from you and the all important country selection. You will find out if your application has been successful and what country you are going to at this weekend.

September:

One day training mainly administrative matters, photograph, uniform fitting plus preliminary travel plans and the things that you need to do in preparation.

November:

Final weekend of training. Language preparation, psychological aspects and practical suggestions to help you in your year away.

January:

Your exchange begins!! One year of adventure is about to start.
